City Meets: We are very sorry about the confusion about the city meets. Hershey rules allows your child to participate in only one city meet. We list all the city meets available in Northern Utah for your convenience and flexibility. Pick the one the best works for your schedule unless your child is on a relay then we need him/her to go to the Ogden City Meet – June, 13th (registration at 5 pm and starts at 6 pm). Only two kids per event qualify to the Northern Utah District Meet and same from district to state. We host an end of year team track meet and party for all athletes.
Birth Certificates: Hershey rules require you to show a copy of your child’s birth certificate at the city meet to verify their age. Not all cities enforce this rule. Layton city did yesterday and turned away athletes without their birth certificates. Please bring one to the meet to make sure your child can participate.
Relays: We are putting together relays to try and qualify our kids to the state meet. A 4 x 100 relay consists of 4 kids in their same age division and with the same gender. In the 9 – 10 & 11-12 age divisions the athletes will be allowed to participate in all 3 of their individual events and a relay because Hershey no longer takes these relays to the National Meet in Hershey, Pennsylvania. In the 13-14 age division the relay replaces one of their events. Please let the coaches know at the next practice if your child can participate on a relay in the Ogden City Meet.
6-8 Age Division: The city is going to allow us to have non-qualifying races for the 6-8 age division. They will allow them to participate in up to 2 running events only. They can race in the 50, 100, 200 and/or 400 meter events.
